Kings Bow Out of Play-In After Curry's Late Flurry
Warriors Advance to Face Grizzlies
Murray's Hot Shooting Not Enough to Overcome Curry's Heroics
In a thrilling Game 7 matchup, the Golden State Warriors defeated the Sacramento Kings 113-101 behind Stephen Curry's late-game heroics. Curry scored 16 of his game-high 50 points in the fourth quarter, including the game-winning three-pointer with just over a minute remaining.
The Kings started strong, with Keegan Murray hitting several open looks early on. However, the Warriors' defense tightened up in the second half, and the Kings' offense struggled to find consistency. De'Aaron Fox picked up his fourth foul late in the third quarter, limiting his effectiveness in the crucial fourth period.
The Warriors, meanwhile, rode Curry's hot streak to victory. Curry hit 9-of-17 from three-point range, including several key shots down the stretch. Klay Thompson also chipped in with 23 points, while Draymond Green had a double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds.
With the win, the Warriors advance to face the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs. The series begins on Tuesday, April 18th, in Memphis.
